Deliciously soft and fluffy apple cinnamon rolls filled with creamy apple pie filling and topped with a sweet glaze.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit until foamy.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture, then combine with dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread apple pie filling over it.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into slices.
  7. Place slices in a baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add additional spices such as nutmeg.
