A comforting and savory dish that combines the rich flavors of ground beef and Cheddar Bay biscuits.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onions and garlic; cook until the onions are soft.
  3. Stir in the mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the biscuit mix and milk until just mixed. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit mixture on top of the beef mixture, covering as much surface as possible.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking, allowing it to melt.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
