Ingredients

  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce until well combined.
  2. Place a spoonful of the crab mixture into the center of a wonton wrapper.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with the beaten egg and fold to seal.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat.
  5. Fry the wontons until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add sesame seeds to the filling.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
