A delicious twist on traditional tacos featuring crispy chicken and wonton wrappers.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cheese, lettuce, salsa, and taco seasoning.
  2. Lay out a wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center.
  3. Fold the wrapper to create a taco shape and seal the edges.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry each taco until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with additional salsa and toppings as desired.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, bake the wonton wrappers before adding the filling.
  • These tacos can be assembled ahead of time and fried just before serving.
