Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, olive oil, garlic, and herbs to the yeast mixture, and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into three equal pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into a long rope and braid them together.
