This Quick and Easy Creamy Smothered Chicken and Rice is a comforting dish perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the chicken thighs and cook until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the rice, chicken broth, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes until rice is cooked.
  5. Stir in the crispy turkey bacon before serving.
