1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Form the dough into a log shape and wrap it in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Slice the chilled dough into 1/4-inch thick rounds and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
Let cool on a wire rack.
